One of the highlights at Starbucks—and my entire career—was art directing the Hacienda Alsacia coffee farm branding elements. I had the opportunity to visit this one-of-a-kind place in Costa Rica while the visitor center was under construction. Witnessing what it takes to grow and process high-quality coffee in origin made a huge impact on me, and ensured the system of paper goods, menus, marketing and retail lobby is cohesive and special.
